17 Week Update & Favorite Things

Figured I would talk a bit about my favorite things this week…these are some things I bought or received as gifts that I would definitely buy again or recommend.

Pregnancy favorites

1. Novena Maternal Skin Care : Jessie James Decker recommended this line on her Instagram and I thought I would give it a try.  I am huge into preventative maintenance and have been using their breast cream to ward off any potential stretch marks as my boobs have been growing at a crazy rate. My mom has had four kids and not one stretch mark to show for it so knock on wood but I like to be safe. ? I also bought their Bearberry Brightener Moisturizing Cream which I have been loving so far. And all of their products are organic, Novena does not contain any harmful chemicals or preservatives. No Sulfates, Parabens or Phthalates, BPA. They are Phenoxyethanol Free, Gluten Free, Wheat Free. No GMO’s, TEA, EDTA, Fragrances or Dyes. No Allentoin, Dimethicone or PEG’s. They are also 100% vegan and cruelty free which I love.

2. mykind Organic Prental Multi:  Before I started taking these I was just taking the cheap $12 kind from Trader Joe’s…I thought they was good enough. But my mom, who is an amazing naturalist and holistic health practitioner found me these and told me to take them instead. They are  Certified USDA Organic, Non-GMO Project Verified prenatal multi with absolutely no synthetic binders or fillers, made only from real, nutritious whole foods. A lot of the other prenatal’s out there are full of junk and stuff that really isn’t good for you or baby. You can find them at Sprouts, Whole Foods, and a lot of other vitamin shops.

3. Petunia Pickle Bottom Boxy Backback:  Ahhh….I am so happy about this diaper bag. Its a bit ridiculous how much I love it. Ian saw me eyeing and oogling over this bag and surprised me with it randomly. Best Husband E.V.E.R. ? Is it too soon to actually start using it?

4. Wish Garden Sleepy Nights:  I think this may attribute to the awesome sleep I’ve been getting. I put a few drops in my water right before bed and before I know it I’m out like a light.

5. Mami Tee:  I love this tee because its oversized and sooo soft and cozy. They also have a really cute preggers one that’s on my wishlist.

& now for my update…

How far along: 17 weeks

Total weight gain: Been up and down between 132-134 lbs…so lets go with 134.

Maternity clothes: I bought a few maternity dresses but for the most part I am still wearing my regular clothes. My shorts and jeans still fit fine but my tight, zip up pencil skirts do not.

Symptoms:  Just huge boobs and feeling her move around allllll the time now. I love it.

Sleep: I am still in bed by 9 pm…ha I can’t make it through our shows without falling asleep.

Miss anything: Hot yoga and wine!

Food cravings: Mango’s and pineapple all the time. Love smoothies right now too.

Anything making you queasy or sick: No, not anymore. I can finally eat pizza again…hallelujah. Hot coffee still makes me feel queasy….more so the smell. I can drink it cold (decaf) without any problems which is weird to me but I don’t drink it often like I used to.

Have you started to show yet: Yes! I feel like I have finally popped out. haha

Have you felt the baby move? Yes, she moves around quit a bit. I haven’t actually felt a solid kick yet but a lot of  fluttering/quickening as they call it.

Gender: GIRL! So exciting….and she already has a closet full of clothes and shoes. (thanks mom!) ?

17 weeks pregnantActually wearing a maternity dress here from Asos. I love it because its soft and stretchy and also perfect for work. Or you can dress it up for date night. Wish it came in more colors though because I would buy them all! 🙂  Hope you have a great weekend and enjoyed this post.

XOXO,

vintage
