How far along? 24 weeks…SIX MONTHS! Baby is the size of a cantaloupe.
Total weight gain: Oh my word….I am officially in the 140’s. 140.4 to be exact. Which is a 20 lb weight gain…welp.
Maternity clothes: A lot of my regular clothes still fit but for work I have been wearing a lot of stretchy skirts and dresses. My favorite maxi dress right now is from Victoria Secret, its not maternity and I ordered in my regular size and its perfect. They are actually on sale right now too so I had to order another.
Symptoms: Sooo…we had a mini scare. I went in for my regular doctor check up and apparently I was having minor contractions (I had no clue!) and on top of that she said I was measuring big (um thanks?) so they wanted to do an ultrasound to check and make sure everything was okay. Thankfully everything was dandy and baby girl is measuring a week(ish) ahead of schedule. As far as the contractions they said I shouldn’t worry and as long as they don’t become regular and to make sure I am staying hydrated. It’s been 105° here the past few days so I’ve been drinking plentyyyy of water.
Food cravings: Watermelon. Watermelon. Watermelon. Ian and I ate a whole one in one sitting and since then I haven’t been able to get enough. My favorite is either sprinkling it with some coconut sugar or pouring lemon/lime juice on top of it. Soooo good.
Anything making you queasy or sick? Nothing at all.
Workouts: Ha! None. I am terrible. But this past weekend we did a lot of hiking and my Fitbit weekly progress report said I walked 24.87 miles this past week so I don’t feel too too bad.
Wedding rings on/off: Still on.
Stretch marks? None so far. I have been using Mama Mio Belly Butter morning and night as a preventative. I love the way it smells and have gone through 3 or 4 jars so far. I’m sure a lot of you have heard of hot mama Sarah Stage…she has an insanely good body and she used the Mama Mio skincare throughout her pregnancy so I figured it must be good right? ?
Have you felt the baby move? All the dang time now and I love it. She is a night owl and I will feel her like clockwork around 10pm movin’ and groovin’. And she moves around a lot in the mornings now too and randomly throughout the day. Our cat will sleep on my stomach and she actually kicked him off once…it was soooo funny. He gave me the most confused look like “what was that?!”.
Name: We have had the same name picked out since before we even got married. (Weirdos, I know) and most of our friends/family have already known it so I will formally announce that her name will be Kennedy Gray. Everyone has already nicknamed her “Kenny” and I think its the cutest.
Best moment this week: Finished painting the nursery…& I LOVE IT. Nursery sneak peek coming soon!
