We recently had the opportunity to try out some skincare products from Pantry Products and I am absolutely loving them. All of the products in the shop are completely natural and handmade in Reno, NV. Here’s what we tried…

  • Nourishing Tummy Cream – I have tried numerous belly butters and stretch mark creams throughout my pregnancy and this is definitely one of my favorites. Its made up of shea butter, cocoa butter, coconut oil, lavender oil and frankincense oil and it smells incredible.  I love it too because just a tiny bit goes a long way. I’ve used other products where you run out of it so quickly and this one will definitely last me until the end of pregnancy.
  • Nursing Balm – With our little babe due any day now I haven’t had a chance to use this yet but its already packed in my hospital bag. I love that its 100% natural so there’s no need to wipe it off and its completely safe for baby.  Its made from high quality butters and oils to help eliminate soreness, tenderness, inflammation, infection, and help baby to latch while reducing friction. I’m sure I’ll be getting a lot of use out of this in the near future! I also love that its lanolin free. A lot of people don’t know this but lanolin is a by-product extracted from the sebum (oil) on sheep’s wool after it’s sheared. That sounds like it’s super natural and should be safe, right? That’s what I used to think until I did a little research…sheep are commonly treated with pesticides and insecticides because they’re susceptible to pests. In surveys done by the Environmental Protection Agency, much of the commercial lanolin used in baby products was found to contain relatively high concentrations of pesticides such as DDT, lindane, and diazinon.  According to the National Research Council, these chemicals are readily absorbed through the baby’s skin which is not something I want for my baby.
  • Lavender-Frankincense Indian Clay Mask – First off, this mask smells amazing. From the moment we opened it up our whole bathroom smelled delicious. Ian loves to do masks with me (its pretty amazing) so we put this mask on and let it do its work. The mask stimulates and improves blood circulation. It tightens up creating a tingling feeling on your skin which results in improved circulation of your blood. Indian Clay is known to have a high content of minerals and nutrients in it and when applied on the skin, the minerals and nutrients are absorbed into the skin leaving it nourished and rejuvenated. It left my skin feeling so soft and smooth and gave it a nice refreshed glow.  I also had a few little pimples coming in on my chin and the next morning they were completely gone, no joke! This will be a weekly ritual for us. Also, a little tip is to keep it in the fridge…it will help keep it fresh and feels sooo good applying it when its nice and cool.
  • Bourbon-Fir-Vanilla Beard Oil – Ian obviously tried this stuff out, I’ve been lucky so far not to get a pregnancy beard. *knock on wood* It made his beard even more luscious and smelled incredible. I also like that it didn’t make his beard look too greasy like a lot of the beard oils do. It comes in  cedar-bergamot and cedar-lemongrass as well, but I highlyyy recommend the bourbon-fir-vanilla one because it smells that good.

I love this shop so much and they have so many other great products as well, they are always adding new products to the shop too. They have a great all natural doggy paw protector in the shop right now that protects your pups feet from hot pavement, ice, salt, and rough surfaces. When we first moved to Arizona we didn’t realize how hot the pavement was and now always apply a paw protector to our dogs feet…this will be a summertime must have.

Hope everyone had an amazing weekend! Stay tuned for my 36 week bump update.
